Current Event: Summary and Reflection
Choose a current event news article related to American government at the national or world level. Cut out or copy/print the article to attach to your summary and reflection.(Assignment will not be accepted without the article and this rubric.) Use the following rubric as a guide to successful completion. Summary must include the 5 W's and H: Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. Reflection should include thoughtful questions and concerns about topic.

Historical Presentation: Original 13 Colonies Infomercials
Students will participate in infomercial presentations in order to explain issues, events, geography, and people of assigned colony. Infomercial theme is to create reasons why English citizens would want to settle in the assigned colony. All groups will provide a display map of the assigned colony with a resources Map Key and geographic/political labels. Groups will work together to meet both group and individual goals.
