Rubric to assess students understanding of the Aboriginal artwork and to recreate the same style in the classroom telling a story about the school

Students create an artwork of leaves using a stencil and cool and warm colors.

Independent Activity: Create a collage that represents your story. The collage should be made using Microsoft PowerPoint and Clip Art, Word Art, or Internet Images. This collage should consist of a wide variety of images that tell the important parts of your story. You will present the collage to the class, and it may be displayed on the wall of the classroom. Grades will be given according to the attached rubric.

Independent Activity: "Who Am I" Collage Create a collage that represents who you are as a person. The collage should be made using Microsoft PowerPoint and Clip Art, Word Art, or Internet Images. This collage should consist of a wide variety of images that tell who you are and what is important to you. You will present the collage to the class, and it may be displayed on the wall of the classroom. Grades will be given according to the attached rubric.

This rubric will assess: Students understanding of how tints and shades are created Their ability to work within a team to produce an artwork that is cohesive and that the artwork is representational of the colour chosen Students ability to control the paintbrush.

The student will create a printed fish poster using sponges. The student will print an edition of at least 3 printed fish and have one overlap (print or paper)
