You will be given a Jazz musician to study. You must RESEARCH your musician and prepare a one page paper about this artist. In paragraph 1, you will introduce your musician and give a short biography. In paragraph 2, you will state the style of music they play and describe specific characteristics of their music. For example, some of you will have Jazz musicians who exemplify Bop, Big Band or Cool Jazz. Some artists are predominantly singers and some instrumentalists. Look in your notes about the characteristics of the styles of music that we have studied. Also, what have critics said about your artist's style and technique? In the 3rd paragraph, you will discuss one of their greatest hits. Choose a piece which has made them famous and relate facts such as how long it remained on top of the charts and characteristics that made it popular. MUST BE TYPED!
