This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your research and PowerPoint presentation for your First Day at School Project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when composing the final grade for this assignment.

This rubric is designed to assess the presentation of the group activity. The rubric should consider the performance of the group as a whole, as well as individual contributions.

The arrangement of a classroom adds to or detracts from a classroom's effectiveness. A teacher needs to decide what activities he wants to include in his daily schedule, what kind of arrangements he wants for his desks and how he wants the traffic flow to be managed. A classroom teacher who is innovative and creative needs to accommodate the activities he/she wants his/her students to become involved in without making his/her classroom feel cramped or uncomfortable.

Individual Student Accountability- Working in a Cooperative Learning Group.

Students will write a personal essay that outlines their beliefs about basic aspects of their educational philosophy.

You will be graded out of three points for each lesson with an addition three points for the overall quality of the portfolio. Please review the rubric before handingin your final project.

Students will write a five paragraph personal philosophy of education, which summarized personal beliefs about teaching and learning. This artifact must be uploaded to TaskStream.
