Students must create a 3-D cell model of ONE of the following cell types: plant cell or animal cell. They may instead do an detailed 3d model of an organelle.s Student must label all parts of the cell or organelle, and be prepared explain their model. Create a 3-D representation of the major aspects of a cell, including but not limited to: nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, cell wall, cytoplasm, and endoplasmic reticulum.

Students will research as groups the Mayan, Aztec, Incan, or Olmec ancient American tribes/peoples. Information should include: (1) Where and when they lived; (2) Housing; (3) Clothing; (4) Food; (5) Religion; and (6) Lifestyle/Social - Culture. Final class presentations should include a poster with AT LEAST three facts per research area and AT LEAST two meaninful class participatory activities. The poster will also include AT LEAST two quality maps that show the territory of the tribe and their relationship to the world. Also included should be AT LEAST 4-8 visual representations/pictures/drawings that add to the knowledge being presented.

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will show a nutrition squad designed by the students containing a member from each food group. The verbal presentation must be aligned with the poster.

You are a travel agent. You are to create a travel guide to attract travelers to the Rio Olympics. You will use your research and your imagination. This board should be colorful and creative and written to entice travelers to spend their money. You must also include the name, address, and phone number of your travel agency.
