The Career and College Research Project requires a career and college to be researched based on student interest.

Students will research 3 occupations and choose one to focus on the rest of the semester. Then they will create a poster showing their occupation of choice, what it takes to obtain this occupation , qualifications and why they chose this occupation. A small group "Gallery Walk" presentation will be given at the culmination of the project.

Create a personal portfolio web site that includes examples of all of the work you completed this year. The site should include how your skills have grown through the year. Be creative and unique by using customized backgrounds instead of a template. Incorporate graphics, videos, and even animation into your site.

Student(s) will produce a promo/ad at least 1 minute in length on an a promotional video for an event or club at FHS.

Students are to post a vlog in teams on a theme of their choice.

The students will put together a brochure containing information that the students have garnered from career exploration.

Design and build a model of a shipping container home. Students will need to begin with a floor plan and then use the floor plan as a guide to building their model. It will be important to maintain the scale of the project as the student works. Students are encouraged to add unique ideas and keep in mind of the square footage allowed by their salary constraints.

This rubric will show the students ability to create an orthographic projection to the standards of the drafting industry.

Students create a brochure offering information about a profession that they have researched

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher
