Rubric for evaluating student conversation

Each class period you will receive a class participation grade based on the criteria below. After 5 class periods, your class participation grade will be averaged and entered into School Tool for a total of 5 grades for participation each marking period.

Your vignette should be one paragraph to one page in length and should depict a fictional moment that you create based on your observations.

Your storyboard must include a visual representation (i.e. a drawing or magazine clippings) depicting a pivotal moment in each of your 6 episode series and include a caption (utilizing textual-based evidence from your novel as support) of what your visual represents.

Write at least 1 paragraph for each of your 6-episode American Horror Story describing the events that will take place in that episode.

Choose 1 important moment from your novel and draft the script for that scene. Scene MUST be 2-3 pages and include the corresponding page numbers from your book.

Given Part 1 of To Kill a Mockingbird, demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of characters using textual-based evidence from the novel to create a social networking profile.

Rubric for evaluating student presentations.

Students will use books and internet sites to create a multimedia presentation or newsletter that highlights the impact that the Civil War had on lives today and in the future. Students conduct research to gain information about the causes and the effects, the lives of people during the Civil War. This information to write a creative historical fiction informative/explanatory multimedia presentation or newsletter about the period.

Students will choose and construct original content for Romeo and Juliet based on character traits from the choices provided.
