Rubric for evaluating project where students will randomly create an organism and its environment with a roll of the die to show they understand what adaptations are and how they help an organism survive in its environment. The project will consist of: - Google or regular drawing of the environment and the beast including its predators and prey. - a 3 paragraph essay explanatory/descriptive essay

The students will work put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The options for topic will be discuss on the board piror to starting work on the poster. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on on large contruction paper. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher.

Your group is being tasked with a 3-5 slide presentation explaining one of the six simple machines. You will research your machine or topic using the textbooks (pgs 422 - 433) and/or the online textbook http://www.ck12.org/book/CK-12-Physical-Science-For-Middle-School/section/16.3/ Make sure you follow the handout and include all information. You will be filling out the rest of the handout while other groups present.

Students will find two traits that are controlled by heredity, and one trait that is not. Research can be done online or in your textbook. Students are also responsible for filling out a Punnet Square for one of the traits. Assume both parents are have heterogeneous genotypes. Students will also Homework is due at the beginning of the next class period. We will be sharing the traits in class. The most interesting trait wins!!!

You will choose a natural disaster to present during our "natural disaster science fair". You will present information and facts relating to your specific event, and you will explain the scientific causes or driving factors that lead to the disaster. You may work independently or in pairs. No more tan 2 people in a group.
