Culture Day - General Evaluation
In their classes, students and teachers will choose and research a culture from a given list and put together a poster, food, or other relevant performance to show during a cultural fair. The poster will contain information that the students collected regarding the cultures religion, food, homes, arts/crafts, recreation, communication, science/technology, important people to the culture, a map of where the culture lives with respect to the worlds, forms of labor and transportation, etc.

Socratic Seminar
The purpose of a Socratic Seminar is to achieve a deeper understanding about the ideas and values in a text. In a Seminar, participants systematically question and examine issues and principles related to a particular content, and articulat different points-of-view. The group conversation assists participants in constructing meaning through disciplined analysis, interpretation, listening, and participation.
