Professionalism Expectation Fire/Rescue-EMT
The Five Keys to Being a true Professional; Character, Attitude, Excellence, Competency, and Conduct. To ensure students are ready to face today challenging work force, these key factors must be present. Professionalism is a vital part of their training for a professional career. Student will receive a weekly grade for professionalism. Weekly professionalism grades will count as 20% of their total grade. They can earn up to 25 points of the weekly grade daily.

EMT Course Competency
This is a self assessment rubric for the EMT student, to be done after each section of the course. The goal is for the student to identify any issues that might keep them from completing the course. The rubric will be reviewed with the instructor, and any marked differences in how the instructor would've scored a competency will be discussed with the student.

Speech to Inform-Paramedic Program
Students will research, plan, and compose a speech in which their performance will be evaluated in terms of specific standards, including the clarity and completeness of your speech and the quality of your presentation in explaining your topic matter. Non-verbal communication and use of a visual is highlighted. Students will have 12 to 15 minutes to deliver the speech.
