Students will work in teams to create a new species of animal. Students will need to pick one of the following environments of already created planets and create an animal which is going to be strong and resilient enough to survive in that environment. Students will need to consider how this animal is going to stay warm or cool, what it is going to eat, how it is going to get its food and water, and how it is going to care for its young to make sure they survive.

Students will work individually to create a new species of plant. Students will need to describe the environment needed for their plant and create a new plant which is going to be strong and resilient enough to survive in that environment. Students will need to consider what this plant is going to look like, what it is going to produce, how it is going to get its food and water, and what it needs to survive.

Students will illustrate three pictures demonstrating how they are a good citizen. Students will also list the ways in which they are being good citizens.

Students will be able to identify all four seasons while understanding the changing of the seasons. Students will understand the types of weather that take place during each season.Students will successfully complete project in groups by developing a new season and presenting it to the class.

Student will recognize the difference between living organisms and non-living things & list at least 3 reasons why it is either living or non-living.

Correct positioning of colours of the colour wheel including the primary colours, secondary colours and teritary colours.

Assessment of five senses students present their understanding on how we smell/see/taste/hear and touch using various presentation methods of choice giving 5 examples of each sense. They must also exhibit an “Interactive My Five Senses” box for their peers to evaluate and give points on.

A rubric that properly evaluates the S.T.E.M process of building and designing. It measures various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of this project.
