• Students will write example paragraphs into a 3 column chart (text structure, definition, example paragraph) for each type of text structure adhering to a science topic studied this school year. • Responses totally unrelated to a science topic studied this school year will be scored a 0. • A response totally copied from the text(s) with no original student writing should be scored a 0.

Task:Create a figurative language booklet using the handout your interactive. Choose ten different types of figurative language to illustrate and explain the figurative meaning. RL9.1 - Determine the figurative and connotative meaning of words and phrases as they are used in text; LA.W.L.5 - Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.

The reviewer summarizes the ideas of the book and recommends or does not recommend this book to another student based on insights he/she may have regarding the book. it is a critical analysis of the book. The scholar objectively evaluates whether the author(s) have fulfilled their objectives in the book and whether they have used persuasive and unbiased evidence to support their claims. Scholar also rates the book on a scale of 1-5 and provides details to support his/her rating.
