For grading research of a human body system, describing it's function, the main organs or body parts involved and/or a major diseases, condition, injury or illnesses associated with that system. Students will describe the changes of this body system, the interaction with other body systems. Each student will give an oral presentation using a visual aid. The visual will include key facts about the system, be creative, and support the oral presentation. A bibliography must be turned in.

This rubric is to grade student's research of a human organ, describing it's function, the other organs it interacts with, and how it aids in maintaining homeostasis. Each student will create a visual product using arts and crafts supplies, and give an oral presentation explaining their organ. The oral presentation will be by poem or song to teach the class about the organ. A bibliography must be included with at least one non-internet resouce.

6 rubric Something Beautiful Photo Essay Project (6-8 photos)       popup preview  
The purpose of this assignment is to raise awareness and critical thinking by working on a series (6-8) of pictures. Students have been investigating how physical features of the Earth affect the development of human societies and, in turn, how societies affect the physical environment. This project will investigate these questions as students portray their "something beautiful" in response to the story we read in class. The pictures must be related to what the student considers their "something beautiful." Examples: pictures of different objects, settings, a series of photos describing a process or event, etc…These pictures wil be digitally inserted into a Power Point presentation, Prezi, or published on the student's Weebly.
