Neighborhood Map
You are creating a map of your neighborhood. All streets and buildings need to be clearly named and drawn correctly. You need to incorporate 4 2D shaped buildings, 2 3D shaped buildings, 6 streets showing perpendicular and parallel lines. Use a ruler to help you make a neat and attractive finished product. Finished product will also be conferenced with the teacher to determine understanding of shapes, lines, angles, symmetry, and coordinate points.

Autobiographical Timeline For 3rd Grade
Using your personal experiences, you will create a timeline of your life. You must include personal events from birth through today. You will use illustrations or clippings from magazines to help identify these special events. Your timeline must be organized, neat and accurate.

Geometric Town
The new Prime Minister hates curves, and has commissioned a new Geometric Town to be built. Students must sketch a house to be included in this new town on the following conditions: 1) The house must be made of polygons only. 2) The hosue must contain at least 4 different types of polygons. 3) The measurements of every angle inside the house must be written down. 4) Students will choose 2 polygons from the house, and on a separate sheet of paper, they will describe at least 3 different attributes of the polygon eg: identify if it is a regular/irregular polygon, concave/convex polygon, how many equal sides/angles the shape contains, if the shape is a triangle, the type of triangle, etc.

Personal Timeline
For this assignment you are to create a timeline of events from your own life. Below are the requirements for your timeline. Keep in mind; you want to do your best because these posters will be placed on the walls of our classroom for Open House and for Hispanic Heritage next month for all to see.
