My assessment of my self advocacy skills

Students will compile a list of jobs available in a movie theater. Students will observe and write about the skills needed to perform and acquire these jobs. They will discuss the working conditions for this type of job and their personal preferences for the jobs.

Students will volunteer for a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Commission on Economic Opportunity.

Students learn to file by either color or letter as a vocational skill. AGLI Listening Standard 31201 - Listen to and follow two-step directions.

Students must design an employee handbook illustrating the appropriate expectations of their employees if they owned a business of their chosing.

Create an "All About Me" Board with the requirements below. All items should represent you and your interests. These can include activities, favorites, and something about your family. These items can be created by you and uploaded, taken from the internet (with source cited), or taken from Discovery Education. AT LEAST - 2 images - 1 video segment - 1 audio file - 3 text boxes Boards should be created appropriately for display on the class website or in class. BE CREATIVE!

Opening, Operating and Closing the Cash Register

Students will create a window or interior store display demonstrating effective design principles and industry standards.

Students will be graded on participation and effort throughout the school year in a variety of activities including (but not limited to): Fitness, Frisbee, sports, card games, board games, etc.

Your group will decide on a material(s) to be reused. It can be anything from plastic grocery bags to old newspapers to broken toasters! You must create something completely different with this material and it must be functional and/or artistic. For example, Starburst wrappers have been folded and woven into pencil cases! Your group will have to make at least one model and you must provide your own materials. You can search the internet for ideas but the more original your idea is the better you will score on this project. Each prototype will be judged by a committy of teachers. This project is a grade and the winning group will have their lowest test score for this quarter dropped.

When given support within the special education classroom, by the end of the 2017/2018 school year student will be able to correctly face an aisle with 100% accuracy for 20 trials as measured by student work/data logs.
