Ecosystem Project
Students are to model their ecosystem. The model should include appropriate living and non-living organisms present. The paper should include an appropriate description of their ecosystem including the climate, what living and non-living organisms are present, how the living organisms meet their needs for survival, and example of a food chain or web that exists in this environment, what types of changes could take place, what those changes could do to the populations within that ecosystem, and what microbes might be present that may drastically effect the ecosystem.Students will need to state the species scientific name. Students will also have to discribe the interconnected relationships of the species of their choice. Key Points: that energy driving the ecosystem comes from the sun the web of life is contunually dying and feeding other sections of the ecosystem that diversity assures resilience

Students will write about the elements of the Ancient Egyptian Culture based on the movie we watched.

Cultural Fair
In groups, students will choose and research a culture from a given list and put together a poster, food, and replica for their home to show during a cultural fair. The poster will contain information that the students collected regarding the cultures religion, food, homes, arts/crafts, recreation, communication, science/technology, important people to the culture, a map of where the culture lives with respect to the worls, forms of labor and transportation, etc.

You and a partner are advertising agents who will develop a commercial which will sell a selected element from the Periodic Table of Elements. You will then present it in front of the class.

The teacher will collect a paragraph written by each group describing the properties of Oobleck. This paragraph will note the difference between solids and liquids, will describe the properties of Oobleck, and will answer ten out of the twelve guided questions.
