Rubric for Art IV students to evaluate their own work and permit the teacher to assess progress and success of learned and applied information

Students will write a short story about the fictional character they created at the based on the story A Jungle Journey.

Based on this rubric, your knowledge of children's stories, and your knowledge of what makes a children's story affective, grade your peers' story!

Students must choose an everyday ordinary object and write a story about it. The object and story must be school appropriate, but otherwise there are no restrictions on the object or what the story is about. The story must center around the object and it must be at least two double-spaced typed pages.

Students can earn from 0-10 points per class based on their behavior during class. For grades K-5 the class participation/behavior grade is the student's grade in Computer Class. For Middle School, the class participation/behavior grade is 50% of the grade in Computer Class.

This is a rubric for grading a brochure on a topic of the student's choice.

A packet of publications using Microsoft Publisher. The students will create a business card, calendar, birthday card, and restaurant menu.

Personal Newsletter printed in color. Create a one-page newsletter (named My Personal Newsletter.doc) that introduces you to your students and your students' parents (to be used during student teaching or teaching). Requirements include: multiple article sections, use of your picture, use of clipart, use of WordArt for the title, page border, drop caps, newspaper columns, and text wrapping around your picture and/or other graphics. Print the newsletter using a color printer.
