In specific groups, students will create a 30 second-1 min commercial using the Movie Maker Program. You must import a video for your commercial. Your commercial must be a story line production in which you are trying to convince someone to buy a specific product or go to a specific destination. You must complete the commercial worksheet (provided), and have at least 4 story board frames (see attached worksheets). You must have video, music and audio. A written script must accompany your presentation. Use the commercial worksheet to show how your commercial targets the appropriate customers, and to show how you will sell your project. After studying Greek mythology and reading Homer's "The Iliad," students created a radioshow podcast set in ancient Greece. Students were required to incorporate a variety of topics as well as music and sound effects.

Students will be evaluated on the following criteria; Organization - commercial flows logically, Content - Commercial explains issue, Professionalism - commercial gets the message across in professionally, Knowledge - informative production, Interest and Purpose - the commercial is interesting and allows the audience to see the purpose of it

Each student was to create a Prezi presentation, focusing on the historical events of a chosen decade. This presentation must be professional, creative, engaging to the rest of the class, and address the assigned content.

This rubric is designed to assess the design of the team's robot.

Excel project in which students research a favorite fast food restaurant, create a menu, research the nutritional value of the meal, and create an Excel spreadsheet, illustrating their findings. Students then present their project.

General rubric to be used for in-class essay exams

The following guidelines are for use in evaluating a five-paragraph format essay.

Students selected a favorite scene from a novel to create a four page comic book. Script requirements included attention to sequence, correct formatting, interesting dialogue, grammar and punctuation, and overall impression.

ELA class writes a short mystery story.

Research the approved topic. Submit 2-3 typed pages of publishing the results of your research. Include a Works Cited page with at least 6 printed and non-printed sources (1 book) used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on sufficiency of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Students will give a persuasive speech, selling a mythological video game they have created. They will be assessed on content, materials, and delivery.

A How-to Essay is a written, step-by-step explanation of a process. Choose a process that you enjoy and write a how-to essay that will help readers perform the process, even if it's something they've never done before.
