Students will make a poster showing what they would pack for a trip with a description of the seasons and weather. "Mi maleta de viaje." Present the poster using effective Spanish speaking.

Students will... Master the vocabulary and grammar from the chapter, including spelling, context, pronunciation, and comprehension. Role play using the chapter material in Spanish level 2, modeling effective Spanish speaking.

Objective: To create a semi-professional newscast that includes topics that have been previously studied in conjunction with topics currently being studied in Spanish II. The topics include weather, sports, leisure activities, parties/celebrations, current events in the Spanish-speaking world, current events within the local Spanish community, clothing, fashion, food, and music. Students will work in small groups to create an assigned portion of the newscast. Students will then help arrange the individual presentations to create a final whole-class production. Students will be graded on an individual work, group work, and the outcome of the production as a whole class.

Students had to write 10 commands (positive and negative) in Spanish about being fit and healthy. They were also asked to decorate it.

Students compose 30 sentences about themselves as a little boy/girl, now, and in the future. Included should be birthdate, physical characteristics, likes and dislikes, family/friends, hobbies, travel, interests, educational, career and life plans. (10 Past Tense, 10 Present Tense and 10 Immediate Future Tense). These sentences are to be typed in English and Spanish and submitted in the form of a poster or booklet. Illustrations, drawings or clipart should be shown relating to the sentences.

ON HALF A POSTER BOARD CREATE A FICTIONAL FAMILY TREE. IT MUST INCLUDE 8-10 FAMILY MEMBERS. EACH FAMILY MEMBER SHOULD BE REPRESENTED BY A PICTURE AND SHOULD BE LABELED BY THEIR NAME AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO 1 KEY PERSON IN THE FAMILY. NEXT WRITE SENTENCES ABOUT EACH FAMILY MEMBER. TELL THE AGE OF 4-5 OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS. FOR THE OTHER 4-5, WRITE THE DATE OF THEIR BIRTHDAY. NEXT WRITE ONE SENTENCE DESCRIBING EACH MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. ALL WORK SHOULD BE IN SPANISH, NEAT, ORGANIZED AND ATTRACTIVE. COLOR PREFERRED.

The objective of this activity is to have students practice using Formal commands. Students will design a Powerpoint presentation consisting of 12 slides. Ten slides will have a Formal command in Spanish and English. Students will add a graphic or photo to each slide. Finally, Students will present their Powerpoint orally in class. (I usually invite an administrator to come and sit in during the presentations.)

An in-class presentation in collaboration with two or three other students using the preterite, imperfect, present perfect, and future tenses to form a conversation in Spanish about this past year and coming year.

Students interviewed classmates in Spanish, classified data, obtained percentages, and represented them in a pie chart.

Color illustrations, drawings or clip-art should be shown, relating to the sentences. Use of an on-line translator results in a zero score for the project.
