Art projects without a specific rubric or other assessment criteria will be evaluated and graded using the following rubric.

Color Wheel -After reading over the color wheel section together and completing the color wheel exercises using the software, students will create a color wheel in their sketchbooks, using their colored pencils. -Then students will write next to the wheel a list of the primary colors and secondary colors, and will also write down what each colors compliment is (complimentary colors). Students will also list what colors can be used to create gray.

Choose a place in you home which is filled with a variety of shapes and sizes of objects. Examples are your closet, The dish drainer, inside a cabinet or the top of your dresser or a shelf in your garage.

Students will compose and paint an acrylic still-life done from observation using color technique, textural rendering and avariety of painting styles

Collage made to demonstrate knowledge of elements and principles of design. This collage will be used as a design for a linocut reduction print.

The Elements of Art - Color Exploring the mixing and creation of secondary and tertiary colors.

A rubric that properly evaluates the artistic process. It measures the various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of a project or a work of art.

Students will complete a perspective drawing of their dream bedroom.

In this lesson, we will be drawing from observation for the purposes of establishing positive and negative space within the picture plane.

This final drawing reviews, recaps and tests the students knowledge of all of the units covered in a beginning college-level drawing class.
