This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Prezi presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Prezi presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint/prezi have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

In this assignment, you will be a time-travelling radio reporter returning to the WW I period to create a 2-3 minute “interview” with an Indigenous person. Any person we have covered in class, e.g. you might interview a survivor or soldier about the conditions on the front or describe the effects of rationing at home. Submit a list of resources and explain why you chose your topic. Be creative! You may use music, sound effects, or other relevant sound clips to “make it real.”

The students are to create a useful simple machine with 1 or more simple machine. The students will also be able to explain orally how their machine functions and why it is useful.

The students will design their own simple machine invention to present during their oral presentation. The invention must be of something that is new and it must contain at least 3 of the 6 simple machines: Lever, Pulley, Wheel and Axle, Screw, Wedge, and Inclined Plane. Their invention must be somethinbg that will make the job easier.

Rubric for Technology Project

Students will be selecting an animal and research the unique characteristics about this animal. Students will be writing an informative essay about their animal. The essay should describe where their animal lives, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and other interesting facts about the animal they choose. Students should be prepared to answer questions about their animal from their peers.

Facilitate a 10-minute training on the WIS Wellness Dimensions.

Group project where students name the four (4) types of sentences, naming the purpose for each type of sentence, listing ending punctuation, and giving an example of each type.

Students will create a video of making a home remedy They will incorporate English cooking vocabulary and cooking procedures. Home remedies can also help greatly without having to make a trip to the doctor but aren’t sure of the what/how/when it comes to medically helping the family from home.

Student will perform a Dry Manicure and apply artificial Nail tip to nail plate. including safety and sanitation

Students will create a storyboard depicting their journey in developing an interest in a career related to their chosen SDG. Students will develop a storlyine that demonstrates how they can work towards a career that helps acheive one of the Sustainability Development Goals.

Student will be able to perform a basic pedicure with a foot and leg massage following all safety and sanitation protocols.

Student will be able to complete Basic Manicure & massage protocols, following basic sanitation and safety guidelines
