2007-2008 YEAR OF CHANGE IN PADIBE, UGANDA
Spring 2007
-Tallwood Videoconferences with refugees from IDP camp in Padibe, Uganda. Pledges as a school community to raise awareness and funds to build a science wing in Northern Uganda.
September 2007
-Tallwood makes plans to solve problems in Uganda. Revisits problems in Round Table discussion with Global Nomads Group (GNG) and GuluWalk founder Adrien Bradbury
October 2007
-Tallwood holds first African Cafe with speaker on Congo and Videoconference with GNG, followed by Ambassadors of Change Leadership Training Programme, Led Child Abduction activity, and continued planning for the year.
-Tallwood attends GuluWalk in Norfolk, VA along with numerous other cities worldwide.
-Global Nomads Group attends both events and begins nation wide documentary on Tallwood's efforts.
November 2007
-Tallwood students visit classrooms throughout school
-Tallwood creates one poster per room informing classes of realities in Uganda
-Tallwood raises money through lunchtime collection
December 2007
-Tallwood students raise awareness and funds through the sale of GuluAngels, a class versus class competition.
- Tallwood students collect money at winter concerts and develop newsletter
- Tallwood students begin webpage design
- Global Nomads Group recognizes Tallwood's efforts in internet article

GULU WALK TO BRANDON MIDDLE SCHOOL, Chapter begins at feeder school, Chargers for Change, class visits from Tallwood Ambassadors and email contact set up. Club begins first meeting with club sponsor.
- City of Virginia Beach announces winners of 14th Annual Human Rights Awards, Ambassadors of Change to receive award

- Working with Princess Anne High School's IB program, and student founder of PAHS's Invisible Children, Tallwood's Ambassadors of Change program supports and collect funds at area concert of local bands at Club Relevant
February 2008
- Tallwood continues to raise money at school events, including Tallwood's basketball's "Pack the House" Night
- Virginia Pilot's weekend magazine the Beacon gives cover story to Ambassadors of Change program

- 14th Annual Human Rights Awards honors Humanitarians, including Ambassadors of Change
- Tallwood sends four students and 2 teachers to Washington DC to Lobby Days, in which Ambassadors lobby members of Congress on the situation in Uganda
- Uganda Rising, an award winning documentary, is shown at Tallwood High School in the first Annual Movie Screening Gala, a Hollywood style Red Carpet Affair, attracting area celebrities
March 2008
-Chargers raise over $1000 in a Staff-Student Basketball Tournament
-Tallwood assists partners in club meetings
-Launch of Ambassadors of Change Website
April 2008
-Pancake Breakfasts at Applebees (General Booth, VA BCH, VA)
-Fundraiser at Chili's Restaurants (Tidewater, VA)
-Videoconferencing with Great Bridge Middle School (Chesapeake, VA): First cross division event
