Check to view and edit content in HTML format
NOTE: Check this option to copy/paste HTML code directly into editor.
Miximize / Minimize
Maximize or minimize the online editor area.
Cut
Removes the selection from the active document and places it on the Clipboard.
Copy
Copies the selection to the Clipboard.
Paste
Inserts the contents of the Clipboard at the insertion point, and replaces any
selection. This command must follow a Cut or Copy command.
Paste as Plain Text
Paste content from clipboard without its formatting.
Paste from Word
Paste content that was copied from Microsoft Word
Undo
Reverses the last command or deletes the last entry you typed.
Redo
Reverses the action of the Undo command.
Find
Find text in the content.
Note: Position the cursor at the beginning of content to search the entire content.
Replace
Replace text in the content.
Note: Position the cursor at the beginning of content to search and replace the entire content.
Select All
Select the entire content.
Remove Format
Remove all formatting from selected content.
Bold
Convert the selected text to bold. E.g. Bold
NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting
Italic
Italicize the selected text. E.g. Italic
NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting
Underline
Underline the selected text. E.g. Underline
NOTE: Select text first, then click this icon to apply formatting
Strike Through
Strike through the selected text. E.g. Strike Through

Subscript
Convert the selected text into subscript. E.g. Normal Text Subscript Text

Superscript

Numbered List
Makes a numbered list (or reverts back to normal if numbered already)
Example:

Bulleted List
Makes a bulleted list (or reverts back to normal if bulleted already)

Outdent
Outdents (reverse indent) the selected text.
Indent
Indents the selected text.
Left Justify
Set text justification (or alignment) to left.
Example:
This text is left justified.
Center Justify
Set text justification (or alignment) to center.
Example:
This text is center justified.
Right Justify
Set text justification (or alignment) to right.
Example:
This text is right justified.
Full Justify
Set text justification (or alignment) to full, meaning text streches from the left most side to
the right most side of the block.
Example 1:
This text is full justified but it doesn't show.
Example 2:
This text is aslo full justified. As you see, only longer paragraphs that are wordwrapped are full justified. And only
lines that can fill the block horizontally are full justified. The last line is not full justified.
Text Color
Set the (forground) color of text. E.g. This text is in blue and this text in red
Background Color
Set the background color of selected area. E.g. This background is in silver and this is in yellow
Insert/Edit Link
Inserts a new hyperlink or edits the selected hyperlink.
NOTE: To insert a link, first select the associated text or image.
Remove Link
Removes the hyperlink information from selected link and leaves plain text.
Insert/Edit Anchor
Inserts a new anchor or edits the selected anchor.
NOTE: To insert an anchor, first select the associated text or image.
Insert/Edit Image
Inserts an image from another website (URL) or from your computer.
Insert/Edit Flash
Inserts a Flash animation from another website (URL) or from your computer.
Insert/Edit Table
Inserts a table. Use this option to layout the content.
How to import Microsoft Word documents into the online editor:
Using Internet Explorer 6 and above for Windows, FireFox 1.0 and above for Windows, Mac and Linux, and Netscape 7.1 and above for Windows, Mac and Linux:
Copy desired content from MS Word
Position cursor in the online editor and click on paste ()
If asked "Do you want to clean it before pasting?" select [OK]
Using other browsers:
Save the file as a web page in MS Word
From MS Word go to View and select HTML Source (if option is not available see below*)
Select and copy the entire HTML source from MS Word
Position cursor in the online editor and click on paste ()
Select the image file on your PC and click on [Open]
Click on [Send it to the Server] and wait until image is uploaded. Note: if the image file name includes quotes or
special characters, rename the file to remove all non alphanumeric characters first
Click on [OK] to insert the image into content
How to create a link:
Select the text or image that is to become a hyperlink
Click on Insert/Edit Link ()
In the URL box enter the URL (web address) of the link and press [OK]
The formatting options and editor toolbar is ONLY available to Internet Explorer 6 and above for Windows, FireFox 1.0 and above for Windows, Mac and Linux, and Netscape 7.1 and above for Windows, Mac and Linux. Earlier version of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape, as well as Opera, Safari, and other browsers are not supported.
If you use
any unsupported browsers, you need to either (1) know HTML and enter HTML manually, or (2)
use an HTML editor program and copy/paste the HTML into our editor box, or (3) use plain and unformatted text.
