About Me

Ever since I was in kindergarten I wanted to be a teacher. I have always enjoyed the idea of helping others and sharing my knowledge with them, while learning from them. In recalling my experience as a student, I learned the most from teachers who were concerned with the involvement and the progress of their students. A statement that I often hear uttered by educators is, “teachers cannot do it alone;” more importantly, each person makes a difference. I feel that I can make a positive impact on the students of today and help them to be the leaders of the future with the proper training and guidance.  I know that being an outstanding teacher is an ongoing process, and I believe that teaching involves more than lecturing while the students listen. Furthermore, I will work tirelessy to ensure that my role of the teacher is clear to the students.

I love the idea of educating people and being concerned with their learning process. For me, it is more than having my degree from a reputable institution, and it is more than rejoicing in having summers and holidays off and a great schedule. I take joy in knowing that I will positively influence the lives of students, while constantly focusing on how to better their education and my teaching skills. I want the best for my students; therefore, I will continue to educate myself. When a teaching method is not working for a selected group of students, instead of complaining, I will do extensive research to find out what I can do to improve the situation.

I know that it takes hard work and dedication to have a lasting effect on students. Even though my title will eventually be teacher, I will also take on the characteristics of a student, forever learning.
