5th and 6th grade science covers a variety of topics. We follow the Ohio Standards in the material that is taught. My goal is to provide many hands-on experiences and make science a fun learning experience. I feel it is important for students to realize what an important role Science plays in our daily lives.

The Talented and Gifted Program at Danbury strives to challenge each student's potential through individual learning styles and interests. Academic levels are heightened by the inclusion of higher order thinking skills and problem-solving techniques. Students are encouraged to take control of their education through self-directed learning and personal responsibilities. The T.A.G. program utilizes enrichment and extension activities that follow the Ohio State Standards for general education and the National Standards for gifted Education.
