Link to Sociology Paper: Prejudice/Discrimination Cycle

Reflection on Paper:

The paper that was written for an assignment discussed the cycle that occurs involving prejudice and discrimination in life. It shows how prejudice and discrimination start off as harmful judgements, but can soon turn into ugly situations. Living in the south this is an all too often happening that saddens many people because of its predominance and how rampant the situation is. People in the south tend to blame problems, even personal problems only created by the person, on ethnicities. Writing this paper allowed me to open my eyes and realize that I myself have used ethnic groups as scapegoats for my problems and troubles. What is even more startiling than this is that my family, friends, etc. have allowed this to continue on; even they have partaken in it. It allowed me to adopt a creator attitude and not a victim attitude.
