College 105 is a class designed to introduce new college students to the college life. It makes it mandatory to attend campus activities which will make the transition from high school to college quicker and easier. This class gets you involved and tries to enhance one's diversity.
Political Cartoon Workshop
I learned through out this workshop about the life of a political cartoonist and how fun and difficult that job really was. It was very interesting because I always thought political cartoonist were either republican or democrat, but she was neither. She drew cartoons making fun of people on both sides of the political spectrum. It was also very interesting to hear that she went from a political cartoonist to a childrens book illustrator.
Veteran's Day
We went to the Veteran's Day celebration which was a sight to behold. We stood in front of the flag in front of the school and listened to one Veitnam Veteran introduce us to the ceremony and retire the POW MIA flag. Then he introduced a 92 year old WWII Veteran who explained how much our country's solders really do and where we would be without such a sucessful military. It was a real eye-opening experiance, I really had no idea, or thought about how much our military really does. Now I am much more thankful for a great military, and what they have done.
