Description: In SOC 101, the class helps the student understand the basic concepts of Sociology. It redefines how the student looks at people who may be different from one another. The class also lets the student see situations from a different point of view in order to understand the material. This class also goes in-hand with the diversity workshop because this is how our society views things that are not normal to us and shows us what is behind those thoughts. We also wrote several writing topics discussing the three theories or defining a particular quote within the book.

Reflection: In this paper, it talks about the three theories that sociologists have on how a certain society operates. the three theories are: structural-functional, social-conflict, and the last is symbolic-interaction. These three theories are used to sort out issues about something within the society. Unforunately, I was not doing well in this class so I had to withdraw so it would not hurt my GPA.
