My name is Alex Boom. I was born on March 15^th, 1990. I love my family. My best friend is my sister, April. I grew up in Akron, Ohio until I was four and my family and I moved down to Easley, South Carolina because my dad wanted to keep his job with Michelin. Some of my favorite subjects in school was math in particular and band was also another favorite. I always enjoyed getting on Mr. Caldwell's nerves in band class. I am currently attending Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, South Carolina and I will graduate with an Associate’s Degree in welding in 2010. I have always loved to be right in the middle of the action and not just sitting behind a desk. Many of my friends and customers have been welders and have enjoyed learning how to weld metals so I want to get in on the game.

            Some of my hobbies are playing paintball with my friends and playing on Xbox Live. I am not on any paintball team but I hopefully will within the year. I am big into first person shooter games. I also like to work on cars, guns, and other electronics to see how they work. I am currently employed at the IHOP of Easley since March of 2007 as a waiter during the morning shift. Being at this job has helped me handle different stress levels and with talking to groups. I plan on getting a decent paying job for a welding company where I can eventually work and go back to college to continue my education for welding. Then eventually settle down and have a family and a nice house in the country away from busy cities.
