The NCBI Diversity Workshop's purpose is to help eliminate discrimination and prejudice throughout the world. It teaches students to learn to appreciate and respect everyone's differences.
Reflection
Before attending this workshop, I thought it was going to be the biggest waste of my time ever. The reason I felt this way was because I never commit discrimination or prejudice acts, and I'm already very respectful of everyone's differences. After the workshop was over, I was amazed at just how different everyone is compared to how I perceived them to be.
