1.I earn a B or better in Sociology 101 by December 2008.
2.I find a job that pays well and gives me experience for what I plan to do in life by March 2009.
3.I turn in every college assignment this semester on time.
4.I move out of my parent’s house by July 2009.
5.I buy my own car by February 2009.
These short term goals are ones that I have been planning for quite some time. I will buy the car to get me to my new job, which will pay more and then I will be able to move out of the house and be financially sound. My #3 short term goal, to turn in every college assignment on time will help me manage my time better. I have already begun to see results in terms of time management, not in just schoolwork, but in everything I set out to do. I know that out of all of these goals, the hardest one to achieve will be moving out. Although it is something I really want to do, and I will work hard for it, I know that it is never easy to live alone, especially without my mom. All of these goals are achievable to me. I just have to work hard for myself. I know it will be difficult, but when I achieve these goals, I will be on my way to living the life I want.
Long Term Goals:
1.I earn an Associate’s Degree in Management from Tri-County Technical College by 2010.
2.I get married and start a family by 2015.
3.I start a job in the management/marketing field by 2011.
Each of these long term goals is important for creating the life I want for myself. I have already seen progress in two of these goals. I have almost completed my first semester at Tri-County Technical College with high grades. The completion of this semester will give me a boost of confidence to know I can finish my schooling with high grades. I am also with the man that I would love to marry. The third long term goal on my list is one that I have not seen any progress in. Although I see it as very attainable, I know I need to start working hard to achieve my dream job. When all of these goals are completed, I will start a new list of long term and short term goals to achieve because I know that it is possible.
