Goals

         My short term goals are to keep my Life Scholarship so I will be able to finish my education at Tri-County and be able to go to Clemson, or somewhere else close by, without having to scramble for money for the tuition.  I also want to pass all of my classes so I can stay on the time schedule I have made out for myself.  The way for me to do this is to keep up my motivation and value for my classes this semester and all the other ones following.  I know that this semester I have fallen way behind and that I need to pick myself up and start working harder. At the beginning of this semester I was doing very well, turning all of my assignments in on time, but I gradually lost my motivation, which is going to eventually result in me losing my Life Scholarship, so there needs to be better improvement on my part in that area.  I expect myself to pick the pace up next semester.

         My long term goals are to get a great job in the area that I want, which is to be a book editor right now.  I am not seeing that in the near future, because I know I need to intern for a little while before I can start my own career.  The major publication offices on the East Coast are in New York, so I would also have to wait to be able to afford living there and then finding a prestigious publisher that I would want to be associated with. For me to be able to do that I need to get an extensive degree in English and get an internship with a publishing company that will help me get my name out there and be able to get respectable clientele.  I need to be able to write essays more promptly and write them with proper English.
