English 101 is a university transfer course that teaches the fundamentals of effective writing. The topics of this course are as followed: the writing process, compare/contrast writing, cause/effect writing, argumentative writing, timed, in-class writing, the research process, MLA documentation, researched writing, and creating an E-Portfolio. A number of essays on these topics will be mandatory throughout the course. The course outcome is to know how to effectively write a well-developed essay and to have full knowledge of all of the topics covered throughout the semester.

My Argument Essay on coral reefs is the best essay I have written so far in this course.

I am proud of my argument essay on coral reefs. I worked really hard to earn a B. I spend a lot of time researching for valuable information. I went through the revision process over and over again. It was very important for me to do well on this particular assignment. There are a few things I have done differently when writing my argument essay. I could have picked a more specific audience that was persuaded by my thesis. Some of my paragraphs lacked unity. I also need to elaborate a lot more in certain areas of the essay. Although I did have opposing views, I must include additional opposing views to better my point. My works cited page was not perfect. I did not correctly cite some of the citations on my works cited page. I will revise this page as well as the rest of my essay.
