I enjoy the College 105 class very much. When you first begin the class, you may be a little sketchy about the course and why you should take the class. As the class goes on and you become familiar with the other classmates and the teacher, you begin to see how the class benefits you. You become part of a small social group, where your common goal is to learn how to handle college and to succeed. You learn how to not only succeed in college but other areas of your life as well, like work. For classes, you learn study styles and techniques, such as where to study and when its best. You also learn how to handle a situation if you don't understand a teacher or if you fall behind. For life, this class teaches you responsibility, how to be interdependent, and to not blame others for your mistakes. I recommend this class to all freshmen starting college.

     As part as the College 105 you are required to go to two workshops. I have gone to the Diversity Workshop and the What is Plagiarism Workshop. The Diversity Workshop is very interesting. You are in a room with complete strangers, most you have never seen before and you learn how in some way you are connect or similar to each person in that room. This workshop also teaches you how to deal with discrimination and why you shouldn't be prejudice or discriminate against others. The What is Plagiarism workshop teaches you the different ways of plagiarism. This class helps you because you are warned what is considers dishonest at Tri-County. This workshop also teaches you what paraphrasing and summarizing is. What is Plagiarism workshop teahces you how to avoid plagiarism in the future.
