 ...And I wrote it out...

Throughout my years in school I have found high school to be the best. I managed to become more independent and by the way my school is ran if you want something you have to get up and get it your self. I’ve always had an interest in helping the community. I’ve reached accomplishments that have allowed me to be part of organizations that that help, provide and assist in making this world a little better. During my freshmen year I became apart of a Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program in which we informed our fellow peers and teenagers about safe sex and ways to prevent pregnancy. I also became part of the Compton High School Recycling Club. In which we recycled  cans and attended beach clean ups. About two months ago we managed to work with Heal The Bay and cleaned up the Compton Creek. I was also part of 4-H during my sophomore year and junior year. We managed to create a project in which had to be presented, our project was named Bow Wowz and Meowz. We managed to collect donations from students, families, and friends, and with the $250 we received from UC Davis we used it to buy more necessities for the Carson Animal Shelter. During last summer I was able to apply as a volunteer at the Carson animal shelter. In which I volunteer once a week and help walk, bathe, feed, and look after the animals here at the Animal Shelter. I help clean up after them and work on making them look and act adoptable. I’m also working in opening a Visual and Performing Arts Club here at Compton High. I have more ideas and plans for my up coming senor year and have always found it in my hands to take charge and help make a difference.  Its just never been in me to sit around and wait for the world to fix its self. I have token it upon my responsibility to make the world a better place for me and future generations.
