Walk The Talk

Mission

WE CANNOT CHANGE THE WORLD BUT WE CAN CHANGE THE PRESENT FOR ONE SMALL RURAL VILLAGE

EMPTY BELLIES HAVE NO EARS

This semester students from Mrs. Ragatz’ World Studies and World History classes at Grand Ledge High School plan to transform the ugly stereotype that today’s teens are apathetic and ignorant of world affairs.  They will be running a real non-profit organization (iGA Walk the Talk) that seeks to eradicate malnutrition and poverty in one small village in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.

The students will be opening a Children’s Kitchen in the village of Ekuku, Equatorial Guinea, West Africa to immediately provide the children with the simple right of good food and clean water.  The kitchen will feed the children 3 nutritious meals per week.  This will not only help with the physical growth of the children but it will also help them become more productive members of their community.  In the mean time, the parent organization iGA Interface Global Alliance will be creating economic development projects to stop the abject poverty in this village of less than 600 people.

* $2 a week will feed one child 3 nutritious meals for one week

    * $10 a month will feed one child 3 nutritious meals a week

    * $100 a month will feed 10 children

    * $500 a month will feed 50 children

    * $2000 a month will feed 200 children 3 nutritious meals a week

    * $50,000 would sustain 200 children for 2 years

100% of your donations goes to feeding the children
