Please be aware that this information is outdated as of Spring 2010. You currently need 16 points to be an active member. With these 16 points, 4 points must come from on-campus activities, 4 from off-campus activities, and the final 4 can be from any activity. The point values below are subject to change.

 

All active members must complete a minimum of 24 service points each semester in order to have their AGS membership recoreded on their transcripts for the current semester. Memebers are expected to check with the current Points Coordinator for the exact due date.

 

  • General Membership Meetings: 1
  • AGS Social Activities: 1
  • Voting in Election: 1
  • Campus Event Activity: 1
  • Campus Participation: (Sports, Newspaper, etc.): 1
  • Campus Involvement: (ICC, College Committees, etc.): 1
  • On-Campus Activity Attended (theater, lectures etc.) 1**
  • On-Campus Blood Donation: 3*
  • Off-Campus Blood Donation: 4*
  • Enrolling a new AGS Member: 2
  • Running a Table: 1
  • Ticket Sales for Club Events: varies*
  • Per AGS In-Class Announcement: 2*
  • Per Hour of UNPAID Community Service: 1*
  • Per Hour of UNPAID tutoring on Campus: 1*
  • Per Hour of Disabled Student Service Voulenteer Work: 2*
  • Per 5 Items of Food/Clothes Donated to a Drive: 1*
  • Being a AGS Officer: 5
  • Being a Committee Chair: 3
  • BEing a ASB Senator or Officer: 5

***IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP TO SERVE OR ATTEND AN ACTIVITY AT ANY TIME AND DO NOT SHOW, YOU WILL GET 2 POINTS DEDUCTED FOR "FLAKING OFF." Exceptions will be made if prior notification is given to an AGS Officer.
