Danbury had a clean sweep at the Ottawa County Spelling Bee at the Port Clinton Performing Arts Center:


1st Place-Zin Oo
2nd Place-Cory Bowser
3rd Place-Sarah Bossetti

All three middle school students have qualified for the regional competition in Toledo next month.

Congratulations to our Academic Challenge Teams 

 

On March 19, the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students from Danbury Middle School competed in the Ottawa County Academic Challenge at Benton Carroll Salem High School in Oak Harbor, Ohio. Teams from Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, Put-In-Bay, and Danbury competed in four rounds of questioning. The questions were in the areas of Language Arts, Literature, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Fine Arts, and Miscellaneous. 

 

Danbury’s fifth and eighth grade teams came in first place and were awarded ribbons and a trophy by the county. The sixth and seventh grade teams took second place along with ribbons and a trophy. The teams were under the direction of Sue Joy (5th & 6th Grade Science Teacher) and Carrie Bingham (K-4 Intervention Specialist). The fifth and eighth grade teams will represent Ottawa County at the Tri-County Challenge on May 8th at Firelands College. The Tri-County Challenge includes the winning teams at each grade level from Huron, Ottawa and Eire Counties.

REMINDER TO PARENTS

Danbury School now has the on-line lunch system up and running.  Parents can now view only their child(rens) lunch account balance and what has been purchased for lunch.  Directions for setting up accounts are as follows:

 

Go to www.payforit.net

*Set up a Guardian Account

*Credit or Debit Card is required (no fees can be charged at this time)

*System will send an email confirmation code

*Activate account with confirmation code sent to your email

*Set up student account – you will need the following information

            1. School

            2. Student I.D. # - attached to this sheet of paper

            3. First Name

            4. Last Name

            5. Grade
