My WebQuest
During this course, I was introduced to a new resource site known as PBWiki, which allows students to create WebQuests. WebQuests are inquiry based lessons, in relation to the Information Processing Model of teaching, which allows students to work individually on the computer to complete a task or assignment. These particular lessons present students with a problem or puzzle, and then guide them through the steps needed to solve that problem. Once students are given the information needed to create a solution, students work in groups to compare notes.
This assignment truly allowed me to not only create a lesson on my own, which is now published for teachers to see over the computer, but has allowed me to broaden my perspective as to the role technology can play in the classroom.

My Treasure Hunt
Treasure hunts are another effective tool which allows students to seek the internet for answers. Like the WebQuest, the teacher designs the treasure hunt with the start of a problem, or puzzle, and then sets conditions in order for the student to solve the problem. Throughout the treasure hunt, the student is given websites to click on, as a way to help guide them through the hunt. A treasure hunt poses questions to keep students interested, and if they want to learn more based on the posed questions, they can click on the given link.
