Tempo
Level 4: Exceeds Standards 4 pts
Level 4: Exceeds Standards
Tempo is absolutely steady throughout the entire composition. This sounds like a metronome was used while composing, and/or the midi notes were quantitized.
Level 3: Meets Standards 3 pts
Level 3: Meets Standards
Tempo is steady throughout most of the the composition. I can't tell if a metronome was used while composing. Seems like the the midi notes were quantitized.
Level 2: Approaches Standards 2 pts
Level 2: Approaches Standards
Tempo is only occasionally steady. I don't think a metronome was used, and I don't think the the midi notes were quantitized while composing.
Level 1: Emerging 1 pts
Level 1: Emerging
Little or no thought was given to the tempo of this composition. Tempo is irregular throughout the entire composition. This sounds like rhythms were just randomly being played. No notes were quantitized.
Rhythmic Idea Clarity
Level 4: Exceeds Standards 4 pts
Level 4: Exceeds Standards
Listener can reproduce the rhythmic idea very easily. If there are multiple rhythmic tracks, care was given toward making them rhythmically complimentary. These rhythms are really stuck in my head now.
Level 3: Meets Standards 3 pts
Level 3: Meets Standards
Listener can reproduce most of the rhythmic idea. If there are multiple rhythmic tracks, some care was given toward making them rhythmically complimentary. These rhythms are somewhat catchy.
Level 2: Approaches Standards 2 pts
Level 2: Approaches Standards
Although a rhythmic idea may exist, it is difficult for the listener to identify any pattern. Additional rhythmic tracks exist, but only add to the confusion. These rhythms are not catchy at all.
Level 1: Emerging 1 pts
Level 1: Emerging
Little or no thought was given to the rhythmic idea. No rhythmic organization exists. This sounds like rhythms were just randomly being played.
