Responsible for the overall planning, coordination and evaluation of counseling activities as it relates to personal, career and academic endeavors for postsecondary students. ? Arranges, administers and interprets a variety of interest, achievement, and aptitude instruments. ? Interprets psychological evaluations and psycho educational reports as it pertains to disabled students to develop Individual Vocational Education Plans (IVEP) describing classroom modifications and accommodations. ? Coordinates readers, scribes, note takers, sign language interpreters and related assistive technology in the classroom. ? Serves as a liaison between students and faculty as it relates to implementing accommodations or services and responding to student and/or faculty needs. ? Conducts individual and high school campus tours for disabled students and/or students at risk. ? Develops and presents workshop and seminars as it relates to individual growth and development for personal and academic endeavors. PRESENTATIONS I am often asked to speak before groups within the community. In 2000, I was chosen to speak at the Georgia Capitol before the Georgia Assembly on the benefits of a university education. I have also spoken before the Lion?s Club, college classes, and public school groups on the abilities of the disabled. I have spoken at churches, Bible studies and support groups. I have been the keynote speaker at a Kennesaw State University Honor Society induction.
